Michaels doesn't succeed with the takedown and Douglas counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Michaels thinking. #CL2# The fight moves into the clinch position.#TD# Douglas jumps guard.
Michaels sitting in guard here, content to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Douglas looking for a sweep. Not yet Douglas, not yet. Michaels seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. #SUB# Douglas looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Michaels passes into half guard.

Michaels has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Douglas's face.

It appears Nikolov was looking to counter with a kick there. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Nikolov, right into the meat.

Griffinson has had enough of the clinch but Nikolov keeps him there for the moment. Griffinson letting Nikolov take a breather here. Griffinson is looking to break free of the clinch but Nikolov has double underhooks. Stalling in the clinch from Nikolov.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Griffithson controlling from mount. #T1# Rasmussen is in all sorts of trouble here.

Burgess shoots for a takedown but Griffinson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Griffinson with the counter takedown but Burgess avoids it easily. Griffinson throws a nice looking combination but Burgess bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Griffinson swinging wildly here.
Burgess swats away the attempt to clinch by Griffinson. It looked like Burgess was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Griffinson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Burgess as he avoids it easily. Alexander Griffinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
