Very athletic spring there. This has been an exciting period of action!#CL2# Rounder pushes Powers up against the cage in a clinch. Rounder with a knee to the head.

#CL# and Dennis counters by clinching up. Dennis wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
James lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Dennis jumps guard but James turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. #BC2# James manages to break the clinch.
James wants to clinch. Dennis seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Some wild striking there from James.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. James cracks Dennis with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. James throws a series of punches but Dennis avoids them all with ease. #T1# James darts in trying to clinch and Dennis counters with a nice body shot. #CL2# James closes the distance and clinches. #BC2# James breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Tyron James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. James is looking to take this fight into the clinch.#CL2# James drives through and clinches with Dennis against the cage.

James creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Dennis lands a body punch. Dennis slowing the pace effectively. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eddy Dennis. That's going to take a lot out of him. James looks to land a combination but Dennis avoids it well. James throws a sloppy head kick #CL# and Dennis holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. A knee to the head by James.

Mier throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Mier tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Powers is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mier scores with a couple of nice shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mier thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Powers works his way to full guard. Good work. Mier trying to control the position from guard on top but Powers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mier is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. #T1# Mier not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Powers knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mier on the ground. It looks like Mier might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Matthews scores with a three punch combo!
Matthews stuffs the takedown attempt from Dennis. Dennis gets slowly back to his feet. Matthews throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Dennis wants to clinch but Matthews slips to the side and Matthews counters with a big head kick but Dennis shrugs it off. Dennis avoids the head kick by Matthews.
Dennis went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.#CL2# Matthews gets in close and instigates a clinch. #BC# Dennis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dennis takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
#ROC2# Dennis is rocked!#T1# Matthews throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Oh Dennis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Matthews lets loose with a powerful body kick. Dennis will feel that in the morning. Matthews cracks Dennis's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Dennis slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Matthews can do further damage! This one is done, son!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stephenson darts in looking for a takedown but Booker gets double underhooks and turns Stephenson into the cage. Booker shoots in looking for a takedown. Stephenson tries to sprawl out of it but Booker keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage.
