#R1# Andrews tries to score with a low kick but Diaz moves his leg out of the way. Diaz swats away the attempt to clinch by Andrews. Diaz stuffs the takedown attempt from Andrews. Andrews gets slowly back to his feet. #CL# Andrews gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Andrews looking to slow down the pace here.#BC2# Diaz breaks the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD2# Diaz gets a takedown into half guard. Andrews is trying to get back to full guard.#T1# Diaz perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Diaz lands strikes from half guard. Andrews keeping control of the position. Diaz throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Diaz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Andrews keeps working. Andrews looks like he's trying to stand up.
Diaz passes the guard and advances to mount! #T2# Diaz avoids the attempt from Andrews to control.#SUB2# Diaz goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Andrews turns into him and now he's in Diaz's guard.
Andrews with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Diaz will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
#T3# Diaz bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Andrews's guard. #REVB# Diaz is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.#ES# The fighters are working up against the cage. Andrews manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Diaz is looking to take this one to the mat. Andrews is stalling here.
#TD2# Diaz manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Andrews won't allow Diaz to sweep him here. Diaz controls Andrews momentarily but Andrews frees himself. Diaz keeping moving, preventing Andrews from controlling successfully. #T4# Andrews in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Diaz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Andrews trying to control but Diaz is working from the bottom. Diaz seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Diaz can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Andrews controls the pace. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.#SUB2# Diaz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Andrews defends well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Nate Diaz will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. #R2##TD# Diaz gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Andrews throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Diaz wants to sweep here but Andrews controlling him for the moment. Nate Diaz has got the better of the ground game so far. Diaz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Diaz with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Andrews keeping hold of Diaz's head, controlling as best he can. Andrews is refusing to be controlled, as Diaz sits in half guard. #T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Diaz lands with a punch from half guard. #SUB2# Diaz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Andrews doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Diaz. Andrews controlling the position well. Andrews is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Diaz scores with a couple of nice shots.#T3# Diaz prevents Andrews from improving his position. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Diaz trying to mount his opponent but Andrews defends it. #REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Derrick Andrews is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Diaz fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Diaz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Andrews pinned against the cage. Andrews gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. #T4# My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.#KD2# Diaz drops Andrews with a beautiful combination! Andrews stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Diaz is looking for the KO!#ROC2# Andrews is rocked! Diaz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Andrews looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Andrews avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Andrews is looking for a counter combo. Diaz walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Diaz throws a sloppy head kick and Andrews moves out of range easily. #CL2# The fight moves into the clinch position. Andrews tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Diaz smiles and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nate Diaz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round! #R3# Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch but Andrews swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. #TD2# Diaz gets a takedown into half guard. Andrews slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Diaz keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Andrews's head. Andrews looking to control.

He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Diaz is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Diaz lands a couple of digs. Diaz is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Diaz is pushing down on Andrews's leg trying to pass to half guard. Andrews is fighting to maintain full guard but Diaz has managed to sneak the leg through. Diaz is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Ground and pound from Diaz. #T3##SU2# Diaz stands up from half guard. Andrews with a poor takedown and Diaz counters with a stiff right hand. Oh Andrews is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Andrews gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Nate Diaz! Nate Diaz decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
