And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 100 wins and 63 losses; Tyron Scott! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Hozdic shoots in and drives through. Scott sprawls well. And Scott tries to counter it with a takedown but Hozdic pushes his down on his head and steps out.#TD2# Scott shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Scott is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hozdic pulls down on the head and he's put Scott to sleep! This one is all over!

#R1# Birdwhistle throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Birdwhistle looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Birdwhistle looks to land a left hand but Krause moved out of range nicely. Krause takes one to the chin there. Birdwhistle looks to land a right hand but Krause moved out of range. Krause with the counter takedown but Birdwhistle avoids it easily.#TD# Birdwhistle looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Birdwhistle sitting and controlling from the half guard. Krause tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Krause missing with punches from the bottom.
Birdwhistle uses his free foot to push down on Krause's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Krause. Krause manages to regain half guard. Good work. Birdwhistle winds up and cracks Krause with a swinging punch to the side of the head. #T1# Krause flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Scott seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Hozdic slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. #R1# Grigoryan throws a big shot that misses. A shot to the body from Grigoryan misses and Dennis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Grigoryan lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Grigoryan scoring well with a low kick there.
Grigoryan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Grigoryan misses with a looping right. Some bone on bone action there as Dennis checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Grigoryan throws a nice outside leg kick. The fighters circling - Dennis throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Grigoryan moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. #CL2# Dennis has taken the fight to the clinch.
Grigoryan tries to break free but Dennis pushes him back against the cage. Dennis lands with a right to the head. Grigoryan lands a hook to the side of the head. Dennis lands a left hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Grigoryan working hard to break the clinch. Grigoryan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dennis has him pressed against the cage. Dennis lands with a left to the head. Dennis has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Grigoryan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Dennis misses with a looping left. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Dennis checks a leg kick. Grigoryan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Dennis. That did some damage! Dennis swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Dennis throws a jab but it's blocked by Grigoryan. Dennis takes one on the chin but seems OK.

and Dennis counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Grigoryan tries a low kick but Dennis avoids it.#T4# A nice leg kick from Grigoryan, right into the meat of the thigh.

Dennis's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Grigoryan moves out of range of the strikes. A looping hook to the body misses from Dennis. Grigoryan does a little dance to reset his feet. Grigoryan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Grigoryan throws a low kick but Dennis moves out of range easily. Dennis throws a nice looking combination but Grigoryan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Grigoryan throws a chopping leg kick but Dennis manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Grigoryan ducks under a wild hook from Dennis. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ibarra throws a low kick but it's checked well by Kaneko. Ibarra takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Ibarra just misses with a punch to the body.
A little feinted left hand from Kaneko on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Kaneko slips under a jab from Ibarra. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kaneko gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ibarra. Ibarra blocks a jab. Kaneko definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Ibarra lands a leg kick that knocks Kaneko off balance momentarily. Kaneko throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Ibarra connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.#T1# Kaneko throws an overhand right that lands on Ibarra's shoulder, as Ibarra tries to avoid the shot. A big left from Ibarra misses. Kaneko moves out of range of the body kick. Kaneko seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Kaneko throws a lazy uppercut
letting Ibarra counter with a right hand. Ibarra bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Ibarra looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.#CL# Kaneko moves into the clinch. Kaneko is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Go Kaneko decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. |

The fighters are pinned against the cage. Chill manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A little jabbing left from Chill on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Patrick is defended easily by Chill.#TD# Patrick feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Patrick stopping the sweep attempt from Chill. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
