As Cooley backs off Pac Man throws a huge counter combo but Cooley manages to avoid it all. Pac Man lands with a slapping head kick. Pac Man tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cooley was well out of range. Poor timing from Pac Man. Pac Man fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cooley avoids it really well and circles away. Pac Man misses with a telegraphed body shot

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Kraken sitting and controlling from the half guard. Kraken is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Cooley is not content to let Kraken control the position. Kraken lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Kraken scoring with strikes to the body and head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Putin prevents Ramirez from breaking the clinch. Ramirez jumps guard but Putin stands there with Ramirez around his waist. Ramirez gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

McConnell was covering up waiting for the punch and Drake finishes the takedown easily into guard. #SU# Drake stands up and waves to McConnell to follow him. Drake shoots and misses #CL2# and McConnell counters by clinching up. #BC2# McConnell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
No luck for Drake with that takedown attempt. Drake gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and McConnell counters with a stiff right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stephen Drake. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#CL2# McConnell closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Drake wants to break free. He can't get it on this occasion though. Jeffries is trying to break the clinch but Cooley is controlling him. Cooley wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jeffries has him pressed against the cage. Jeffries is pushing Cooley up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
