Szabolcs ducks under a wild hook from Cifaretto. We've been told by Szabolcs's head coaches at Crimson CrowN Combat that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Szabolcs drops his hands momentarily and Cifaretto takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Cifaretto dives in and grabs Szabolcs's left leg, looking for a takedown. Szabolcs pushes down on Cifaretto's head and hops out. A little feinted left hand from Szabolcs on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Cifaretto scores with the left hand. Szabolcs knows he should have avoided that one. Cifaretto lands a jab-cross combination. Cifaretto closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cifaretto with a lazy takedown attempt #KD# and Szabolcs counters with a nice right hand that sends Cifaretto toppling to the canvas! Cifaretto scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Szabolcs finish him?!#ROC#Cifaretto is rocked! Cifaretto shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Balogh Szabolcs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ralph Cifaretto.#T1# A big right from Cifaretto misses. Szabolcs was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Ralph Cifaretto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Szabolcs drops Cifaretto with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Cifaretto! Szabolcs dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
