McGreggor loads up on a big right hand but Monk slips the punch.
Monk looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Monk fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McGreggor looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
McGreggor fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
McGreggor has his takedown stuffed
and Monk cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.#CUT2#
It looks like Manuel McGreggor has been cut.
Monk smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Monk looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
McGreggor fakes the leg kick and cracks Monk in the body.
Monk scores with a hook to the body. McGreggor takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McGreggor tries to clinch but fails miserably #KD2#
and Monk counters with a nice right hand that sends McGreggor toppling to the canvas! McGreggor scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Monk finish him?!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McGreggor with a lazy takedown attempt
and Monk counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Blink Monk!
After winning the bout, Blink Monk thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
Manuel McGreggor was interviewed post fight and said 'Issa L'.

Child shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Child showed some decent athleticism there.
Child is trying to control. Doyle wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Doyle keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Child looks to land a strike but Doyle avoids it nicely and regains full guard.#T1#
Child controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Child really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Doyle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#REF3#
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Doyle staying out of range there.
As Child tries to get set, Doyle tries to push him back and clinch up but Child manages to avoid the attempt.#TD2#
Child fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Doyle to the ground. Child is now in Doyle's guard.
Doyle keeping moving, preventing Child from controlling successfully. #T2#
Doyle will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position. #SUB#
Child stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Doyle has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Child manages to get his head free but now Doyle has transitioned to an armbar! Child grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Doyle! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
