Newman is working Goliath over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Newman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Newman is fighting to break Goliath's control of his arms but Goliath is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Newman lands a couple of digs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Newman stopping the sweep attempt from Goliath. Newman throws a strike but Goliath rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. #REVB# Newman has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Bennett could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Mason throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bennett's waist but Bennett gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mason off to one side. Mason misses with a double jab.
Mason shoots in and drives through. Bennett sprawls well. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mason is defended easily by Bennett. Clyde Bennett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Mason. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mason throws a series of punches but Bennett moves out of range. Bennett attempts a counter takedown but Mason avoids it well and moves away. Bennett doesn't manage to clinch there - Mason circles away.

That was a close round but I would say that Clyde Bennett will probably get the nod. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cummings lands a heavy elbow. Cummings with a couple of short strikes. Mason working to try and regain half guard.
Cummings cracks Mason with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
