Alvbris drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Holban gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Alvbris keeps control of Holban as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Holban jumps guard but Alvbris turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Alvbris fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Alvbris prevents Holban from breaking the clinch. Alvbris tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Casper Alvbris. That's going to take a lot out of him. Still in the clinch, Holban scores with a nice short uppercut. Holban is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Holban is trying to break the clinch but Alvbris has him pressed against the cage. Alvbris tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Wagdy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lex controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. #SUB# Wagdy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lex defends well.#SUB# Wagdy is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. #SUB# Wagdy is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

#R1# Holban works Laul's body with a nice hook.#TD2# Laul looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Holban! A lull in the action here. Holban takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Holban tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Laul presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Laul content just to control the position here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Laul trying to control but Holban is having none of it. Holban tries to reverse the position but Laul maintains control.#T1# The referee warns Holban that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Laul controlling the pace for now. Laul lands a big shot there that rocks Holban but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Holban is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hiradama utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Holban wants to pass the guard but Hiradama is keeping the position. Holban is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. #T1##SUB2# Hiradama has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Holban is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hiradama. The strikes coming from Holban are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
