Schultz punishes Fields's body with a nice straight punch.#TD2# Schultz feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Fields wants to get back to his feet but Schultz passes into half guard.
#REVR# Schultz is looking to advance position but Fields won't allow it. Fields tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Schultz manages to move to mount!

#R1##TD2# A momentary lapse in concentration from Valenzuela enables Irvine to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Valenzuela manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Irvine has eaten all the pies! Irvine controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Valenzuela knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Irvine on the ground.#SUB2# Irvine is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Valenzuela is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Valenzuela has escaped and now he's on top! #REVR##SUB# Valenzuela postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Irvine is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Valenzuela, into his guard. #REVB# Irvine is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Irvine trying to stand up but can't free himself from Valenzuela's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Williams shoots in looking for a takedown. Carver tries to sprawl out of it but Williams keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carver manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Carver went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Alfred Carver has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patrick Williams. Carver waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Williams.#TD2# Williams looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.#ES# Carver kicks Williams off and gets back to his feet. Patrick Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#CL2# Williams instigates a clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.#TD2# Williams jumps guard and drags Carver to the mat. Horrible takedown attempt by Rolen or perhaps it was just good defense by Carver, which made it look bad. Teloshi wants to counter the offense by Valenzuela and move into the clinch position. Teloshi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Valenzuela defends it nicely.#TD2# Teloshi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Valenzuela to the mat! Valenzuela manages to get full guard. That was a close round but I would say that Alfred Carver will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! #R2# Carver defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wright. It looked like Carver was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Wright looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Carver is fending him off so far but Wright persists. Carver gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Carver takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wright is trying to pull guard but Carver has him pressed against the cage. Carver gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Wright.

Wright pushes off an throws an elbow but Carver leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Wright taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
#TD2# Wright ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wright no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. #T3# Carver forces his way into half guard. Wright is breathing heavily. Wright has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Carver is working away from the top position though. Wright is trying to stand up here but Carver is controlling him well. Carver tries to stand but can't do so whilst Wright controls his leg. Carver not doing much here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carver wants to stand up but Wright has a hold of him and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T4# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Carver is controlling the pace.

God, this has been a terrible round. Alex Wright showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Wright will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. An attempted straight right counter from Carver misses the target. Wright fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carver manages to avoid it. Wright swings for the body but Carver moves out of range.

That's going to take a lot out of Alex Wright. Wright is trying to force a seperation but Carver has the dominant position. Carver is trying to pull guard but Wright has him pressed against the cage. Carver shoots in but no luck this time. #T3# Wright throws a leg kick which misses Carver's front leg but catches the back leg as Carver tries to avoid it. Carver scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Carver shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wright as he avoids it easily. #CL2# Wright clinches. Carver is trying to pull guard but Wright has him pressed against the cage. Carver is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Wright is defending well for now. Carver tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wright smiles and moves away.
#TD# Carver shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wright manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Alfred Carver overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.#T4# Wright is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Carver engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. #SUB2# Carver got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wright has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Carver has managed to get both his arms back between Wright's legs - danger averted.
And that's the end of the fight! Alex Wright comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Wright has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Alex Wright! A very excited looking Alex Wright rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
