#R1##CL2# McDonald moves into the clinch. A short right from Rocha. Rocha is trying to push McDonald away but McDonald has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.#BC# Rocha pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rocha closes the distance and clinches up with McDonald, looking for a takedown. Rocha pushes McDonald against the cage but McDonald circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Rocha doesn't manage to clinch there - McDonald circles away.
#TD2# McDonald throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rocha was covering up waiting for the punch and McDonald finishes the takedown easily into guard. Rocha trying to keep a closed guard but McDonald is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rocha preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Rocha looking to hit a scissor sweep but McDonald is one step ahead there. Rocha trying to strike off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T1# Rocha throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Rocha keeping moving, preventing McDonald from controlling successfully. McDonald is stalling in the full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McDonald accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. McDonald stands and throws Rocha's legs to the side, diving into side control. McDonald avoids the strikes from the bottom by Rocha. Rocha is trying to get back to half guard. Rocha is trying to control McDonald's posture but McDonald avoids it. #SUB2# McDonald tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McDonald has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! #SUB2# McDonald has hold of Rocha's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Rocha tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - McDonald cranks the arm and Rocha screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Rocha, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
