#R1# Gord shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Hickman appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Dylan Gord seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#CL2# Gord gets a clinch. Gord is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Hickman tries to pull guard but Gord won't allow it.
Hickman tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
#TD# Hickman jumps guard.
#SUB# Hickman looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Gord in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hickman working a defensive guard here.
Gord controls from within his opponent's guard. #T1# Hickman is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gord is controlling him. #SU2# Gord gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. The fighters circle momentarily. Gord darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Hickman misses with a wild combination.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gord. Gord misses with a few strikes there.
#T2##CL# Hickman pushes Gord up against the cage in a clinch. Gord is pressed up against the cage. Hickman has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gord down to the mat. Gord avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Son Hickman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hickman misses with a hook to the body
and Gord counters with a left right combination that sends Hickman crashing to the mat - Gord wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Hickman out for a TKO! Devastating finish!
