Kong will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.#SUB# Kong drops back looking for a leg! Rodd is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rodd manages to kick Kong off! Kong jumps back into Rodd's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kong trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. #T1# Kong is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Kong pushes down on Rodd's leg and manages to get into half guard. Kong lands strikes from half guard. Kong is taking a breather. Rodd says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.#T2# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.#SUB# Kong is looking for a kimura here.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kong in particular looking to stall. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kong is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Rodd! Rodd really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kong tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Kong fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

He's got his arms around Joe's waist but Joe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gunduz off to one side. Gunduz shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Joe but Joe pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Okan Gunduz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Joe defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gunduz. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gunduz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
