Kro tries to get to full guard but Sanderson has control of the leg. Kro manages to get to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sanderson with a flurry of punches that miss. Sanderson wants to control from the top but Kro keeps moving. Sanderson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.#T1# Kro is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Kro is looking to control Sanderson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kro avoid being mounted? Sanderson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Sanderson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kro wants to control his opponent's hands but Sanderson gets his hands free. Kro is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Erik Kro has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jon Sanderson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Sanderson tries to get the hooks in deep but Kro pushed the leg off.

#R1# A big left from West misses. Ben West seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. West looks winded!#TD# Melton fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. West sprawls well initially but Melton persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Melton controlling the action here. Melton seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down West for as long as he can get away with. Melton is thwarting West's attempts to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Melton working over West with some ground and pound. West looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Melton controlling the action here. Melton passes into side control, despite West's attempt to control the position.

West has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Melton is really squeezing tight and eventually West passes out! He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. #TD2# Cunningham closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mcgee quickly recovers to half guard. Mcgee moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Mcgee is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR##SUB# Mcgee is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cunningham is just riding it out for now. Mcgee eventually gives up the hold. Cunningham has a hand on Mcgee's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Mcgee takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!#T1##SUB# Cunningham tries to improve his position but Mcgee has taken his back! Mcgee has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Cunningham tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Mcgee pushes Cunningham away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Frankborger uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lundgren. Lundgren tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Frankborger manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A swing and a miss from Frankborger. Lundgren shoots in for a takedown but Frankborger shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Frankborger rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Lundgren counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Frankborger thinking. A jab from Frankborger misses. Frankborger slaps away a takedown attempt from Lundgren, before circling back to the center of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Lundgren drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Frankborger's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.#T1# Frankborger tries to bench press Lundgren off him but Lundgren keeps the position. West tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fatu paws at him with a jab and circles away. Fatu throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
West closes the distance and clinches up with Fatu, looking for a takedown. West pushes Fatu against the cage but Fatu circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. West shoots in and drives through. Fatu sprawls well. The fight stays on the outside here - West looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A little jabbing left from Fatu on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
