We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kirk wants to get back to full guard but Tanaka has mounted him! Kirk is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Tanaka has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.#TD# Reed manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tanaka on his heels. He'll look to pass Tanaka's guard now, I'm sure. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tanaka has momentary wrist control but Reed slips an elbow through the middle. #R1# Tanaka displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Reid. Tanaka lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
