#R1# Gracie looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. #CUT# It looks like Desaun Gracie has been cut. Lotus rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
#TD2# and Gracie counters with a takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Lotus's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Gracie throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Gracie creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Lotus sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lotus keeps working. Lotus is looking to reverse the position. Lotus knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. You can see the frustration on Lotus's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Gracie in side control, throwing shots but Lotus defends. #T1# Lotus wants to control but Gracie postures up. An elbow from Gracie crashes against the mat.
The strikes coming from Gracie are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Lotus controls the position for a moment. Lotus tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Gracie looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Niklas lands a nice uppercut. Niklas lands a right hand. Niklas lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Gracie backwards. Gracie's coach down at Know Squat was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gracie's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Gracie is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Niklas prevents the takedown attempt.
Gracie drops down looking for an ankle pick but Niklas pulls his leg out and moves away.

Holtzmann keeping control of the position. Holtzmann has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Bone seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Holtzmann does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Dogan stuffs the takedown. Dogan went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Dogan lands with an uppercut that bounces Bush off the cage and back into range. Bush tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Bush's coach down at Caveman Training: London ($50 - S&C) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bush's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Dogan throws a shot to the body.
