Stainthorpe stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stainthorpe wants it to stay on the feet.
Yanbaev tries to clinch but Stainthorpe moves away
and Stainthorpe counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Yanbaev tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Stainthorpe steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Yanbaev.

Yanbaev moves into range and clinches up with Stainthorpe.

Akuma takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Akuma's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Trueman works over Akuma's head and body with a nice combination.

It looks like Danzo Akuma has been cut.

Trueman pushes Akuma up against the cage in a clinch.
The referee calls for Trueman to work.
Akuma has Trueman pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Trueman manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

That was a close round but I would say that Danzo Akuma will probably get the nod.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Akuma! Trueman is out on his feet! Akuma rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Trueman is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Trueman is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Rowbottom shoots for a takedown but Wonder saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Rowbottom throws a head kick but Wonder moves out of range.
Wonder is pawing at Rowbottom, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Rowbottom's nose. Rowbottom is badly hurt! Wonder pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Rowbottom tries desperately to hold on but Wonder is relentless in his assault! As Rowbottom receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Wonder away and this one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Boy Wonder!

Martel darts in and clinches Skrikam up against the cage.
Martel tries to land a knee to the head but Skrikam blocks with his arms.

Skrikam is trying to drag Martel to the mat but Martel just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Skrikam changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Martel fights it off and pushes away nicely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Skrikam feints and as Martel raises his hands in defense, Skrikam changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Well Martel has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
