Burgess fails with a takedown attempt.#TD2# Burgess gets caught napping as Nurmagomedov dives in and scores a takedown. Burgess manages to retain guard. Nurmagomedov with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.#ROC2# Burgess is rocked! Nurmagomedov scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Oh Burgess is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Nurmagomedov arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Burgess's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

#R1# Mcgreggor fails to land the takedown. Mcgreggor just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromMitchell. Mcgreggor darts in looking for a takedown but Mitchell gets double underhooks and turns Mcgreggor into the cage. Mitchell tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Mcgreggor manages to circle out of the way. Mitchell misses with a takedown attempt and Mcgreggor counters with a stiff right hand. Mcgreggor fails to land with a series of punches.
#TD# Mitchell dives in and scores a takedown into Mcgreggor's guard.#ES2# Mcgreggor has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Mitchell off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Mcgreggor stuffs the takedown. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!#TD# Mitchell throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mitchell scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Mitchell has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.#T4# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Mitchell is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Mcgreggor unleashes a big counter combination but Mitchell bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Mcgreggor misses with a leg kick. Mitchell is looking for a counter combo. Mitchell fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Mitchell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mcgreggor's waist but Mcgreggor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mitchell off to one side. Mitchell has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Mcgreggor's body.
#T2# Mcgreggor trying to control the hands but Mitchell breaks the grip. Mcgreggor grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Mcgreggor is trying to get back to his feet but Mitchell has full control of the position and if anything, Mcgreggor has just worked his way into a worse spot. Mcgreggor tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Mcgreggor takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Mitchell prevents Mcgreggor from getting the reversal. Mcgreggor wants to control but Mitchell is having none of it.#T3##SUB# Mitchell has control of Mcgreggor's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mcgreggor regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Mitchell keeping moving, preventing Mcgreggor from controlling successfully. Mitchell is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Mcgreggor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mitchell swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mitchell will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Mcgreggor trying to control the position from guard on top but Mitchell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mitchell wants to get back to his feet but Mcgreggor is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Two wants to control but Mcgreggor postures up.#SUB# Mcgreggor wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Two, who protects the arm well. Mcgreggor lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Two down.
Mcgreggor staying calm.#T1# Mcgreggor seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Two for as long as he can get away with. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mcgreggor throws an elbow but Two slips to the side and avoids it well. Mcgreggor controls the position. #T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.#SU# Mcgreggor stands up. Two fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Two has a takedown stuffed. Mcgreggor seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Nurmagomedov is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nurmagomedov wants to get up but he can't break Matthews's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nurmagomedov controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Matthews tries to land a sweep but no joy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T1# Matthews being controlled here, momentarily. Matthews keeping moving, preventing Nurmagomedov from controlling successfully. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Nurmagomedov content to stall in guard here. #REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Matthews tries to close the distance and clinch but Nurmagomedov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Horrible takedown attempt by Nurmagomedov or perhaps it was just good defense by Matthews, which made it look bad. Nurmagomedov misses with a kick to the body.
