Lotus fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Alli manages to avoid it. And Alli tries to counter it with a takedown but Lotus pushes his down on his head and steps out. Alli lands with a nice combination. Lotus backs away looking to recover. Alli throws a nice inside leg kick. The fight stays on the outside here - Lotus looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Lotus misses with a hook. Alli ducked under it nicely. #R1# Hauweg scores with a jab to the body. Kankunnen takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kankunnen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Kankunnen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hauweg as he avoids it easily. #TD# Hauweg shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hauweg showed some decent athleticism there. Hauweg scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Kankunnen is pressing down on Hauweg's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Hauweg stands up over Kankunnen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Kankunnen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hauweg controls the pace. Kankunnen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hauweg. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hauweg postures up and lands a big shot to Kankunnen's brow. Hauweg postures up and lands a big shot to Kankunnen's brow. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hauweg cracks Kankunnen with a solid left hand. Still in half guard, Mendes seems content to control. Mendes works his foot free and advances to mount. Carioca tries to reverse the position but Mendes maintains control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1# Mendes tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Let's hope that Mendes has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Carioca tries to reverse the position but Mendes maintains control. Mendes sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. #T2# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Carioca tries to get back to half guard but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alli wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Nazarethyan manages to pass to side control. Well, if Nazarethyan is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Sloppy strikes from Alli. Those never looked like landing. Alli tries to clinch up. Silver lands with an uppercut that bounces Alli off the cage and back into range. Silver lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Alli tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Silver swivels and escapes. Silver throws a combination. Alli tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Silver is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Alli shoots in for a takedown but Silver shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Silver, as that shot connected.

Silver uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Alli has time to react. Alli throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Dalisay throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Carioca steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dalisay. Carioca tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Carioca bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Dalisay connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.#TD2# Carioca fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dalisay sprawls well initially but Carioca persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
