#R1# Saslik shoots in but Diaz avoids the takedown attempt easily. Saslik fails with the takedown. Saslik is looking to clinch. Diaz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Saslik moves away. Saslik slips under a jab from Diaz.#TD2# Diaz looking for a takedown here - he's got it. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Diaz's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Diaz forces his way into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz drops an elbow to the side of Saslik's head. Saslik on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Diaz winds up and cracks Saslik with a swinging punch to the side of the head. #ROC2# Saslik is rocked!#T1# Diaz is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Oh Saslik is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Diaz lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Diaz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Diaz scoring with strikes to the body and head. Diaz prevents Saslik from standing back up.
Saslik tries to get to full guard but Diaz has control of the leg. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Diaz connects with a nice short shot to Saslik's temple. Diaz scores with a big shot! Saslik's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Saslik! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
