Candelaria trying to control the position from guard on top but Odonnell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Candelaria throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Odonnell works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Candelaria would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Candelaria content to stall in guard here. Candelaria wanted to stand there but Odonnell had control of the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Odonnell looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Candelaria puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. #T1# Odonnell is staying active underneath Candelaria, who seems content to just control the action from this position. #SU2# Candelaria gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Candelaria is trying to remain composed but Odonnell is hammering down strikes to the side of his head. Candelaria grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Candelaria covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

#R1# Jahr lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
