#R1##CL2# Stroev gets tackled into the cage by Romano. Romano maintains the clinch. Stroev prevents the takedown attempt.
Romano is trying to drag Stroev to the mat but Stroev just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.#BC2# Romano breaks the clinch.
Stroev tries to clinch but Romano moves out of range. Stroev fails with a takedown attempt. Romano tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stroev sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Romano somewhat. Victor Stroev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zachary Romano. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Romano gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Stroev counters with a straight right hand. Stroev shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Romano pinned against the cage. Romano gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. #T1# Romano keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Stroev. Stroev shoots in looking for a takedown but Romano manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stroev's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Romano stuffs the takedown attempt from Stroev. Stroev gets slowly back to his feet. As Stroev backs off Romano throws a huge counter combo but Stroev manages to avoid it all. Stroev shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Romano as he jumps to the side. Stroev tries to clinch up but Romano circles away and keeps his distance. Stroev misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Romano throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Stroev. Stroev slips a jab and a cross from Romano.
Romano changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stroev tries to avoid it but Romano manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stroev to the ground. Stroev escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Stroev fails with a takedown attempt. Stroev tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Romano manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.#T2# Stroev has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.#CUT2# It looks like Victor Stroev has been cut. Romano plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! This has been an exciting period of action! Romano gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Stroev connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Stroev scores with a jab. Romano acknowledges it with a nod of the head. #TD# Stroev scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.#ES2# Romano explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Stroev is breathing heavily.#CL2# Romano clinches up with Stroev and pushes him back against the cage.#BC2# Romano breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Romano fails with the takedown. Stroev throwing a counter right hand but Romano manages to avoid it. Romano on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. #T3# Stroev is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Stroev fails with an attempt to clinch.

Stroev wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Romano wants a takedown but no success here.
Stroev has had enough of the clinch but Romano keeps him there for the moment. Stroev has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Romano avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Stroev slowing the pace effectively. Romano is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Stroev is defending well. Stroev looking to throw knees to the head but Romano is blocking nicely.
#BC2# Romano's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Stroev misses with a takedown attempt - Romano sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.#T4# Romano throws a head kick that half lands.
Stroev will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Uppercuts and crosses smash into Stroev's face. Stroev staggers backwards, shaken. Nice sprawl there from Romano as Stroev shoots in. Romano shapes to counter with a head kick. Romano avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Romano manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. #TD2# Romano ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Romano no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Romano is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVB##SUB2# Romano is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Stroev defends it well. Romano looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. #T3# The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stroev trying to control from the bottom.

Still in half guard, Romano seems content to control.#T4# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Let's hope that Romano has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Stroev might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Zachary Romano showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Victor Stroev's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round! #R3# Romano darts in looking for a takedown but Stroev gets double underhooks and turns Romano into the cage. Horrible takedown attempt by Stroev or perhaps it was just good defense by Romano, which made it look bad. Romano moves out of range as Stroev strikes. Romano takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Romano has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Stroev paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. No luck for Stroev with that takedown attempt. Stroev chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Romano can pounce on him.

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stroev tries to get out of the position. Romano is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Stroev is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
#SUB2# Romano is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Stroev has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Stroev knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Romano on the ground. Romano is in the full mount, landing strikes. #T3# Romano controlling the pace for now. #SUB2# Romano working for a guillotine from mount but Stroev is in no mood to give up. Romano misses with a head shot. Romano takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Stroev wants to control but Romano is having none of it. Romano throwing strikes here but Stroev is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
#T4# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Romano controlling from mount. Stroev is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
#SUB2# Romano is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Stroev is surviving well by controlling Romano's body position as best he can. Romano controlling his opponent. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Stroev tries to reverse the position but Romano maintains control.
And that's the end of the fight! Zachary Romano comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Romano has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hammerfall lands a body shot. Hammerfall lands a big right hand that drops Karmelli! The killer instinct kicks in and Hammerfall finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Hammerfall!
