#R1# Sloppy strikes from Peters. Those never looked like landing. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Peters is defended easily by Fregorton. Fregorton attempts a counter takedown but Peters avoids it well and moves away.#CL2# Peters clinches up against the cage. A head punch blocked on the inside by Peters. Fregorton slows down the pace here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fregorton unloads a knee to the mid-section. Fregorton tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Peters avoids it.#TD# Fregorton tightens his grip and picks Peters up, before dumping him to the ground. Peters manages to land in guard. Fregorton is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T1# Fregorton is in close to Peters's body, working some short punches and elbows. Fregorton controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Peters wants to stand but Fregorton is controlling the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Peters can do anything to dispel that myth. Fregorton postures up.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Fregorton passes Peters's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Fregorton dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Peters tries for a takedown but Fregorton circles away easily#TD# and Fregorton counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Fregorton not doing much here.
#T4# Fregorton works his way into side control. Fregorton staying calm. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

#R1##CL2# Smitty moves into the clinch. Smitty is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Burgess is defending well. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Smitty takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Burgess tries a body shot but Smitty blocks it.
Smitty has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Burgess is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Burgess jumps guard but Smitty stands there with Burgess around his waist. Burgess gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

#TD2# Smitty turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Smitty manages to end up in side control.#SU2# Smitty decides to stand back up. Burgess tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Smitty shoots in looking for a takedown. Burgess tries to sprawl out of it but Smitty keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Burgess manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. #T1# A telegraphed takedown attempt from Burgess is defended easily by Smitty. Smitty works over Burgess's head and body with a nice combination.#CUT2# It looks like Britt Burgess has been cut. Smitty changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Burgess tries to avoid it but Smitty manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Burgess to the ground. Burgess escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. #CL2# Burgess gets tackled into the cage by Smitty. Smitty maintains the clinch. Burgess is trying to break the clinch but Smitty is controlling him.#BC2# Smitty pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.#TD2# Excellent takedown into side control there by Smitty. #T2# A control attempt from Burgess but he's now mounted! Smitty sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Burgess sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Smitty is figuring out what he wants to do next. Nice strikes from Smitty there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T3# Smitty winds up and cracks Burgess with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Smitty performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Burgess wants to control but Smitty passes into side.
#SU2# Smitty stands up. #T4# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Smitty circles away from the clinch attempt.
Burgess is trying hard to land a takedown here. Smitty sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Smitty wants to counter the offense by Burgess and move into the clinch position. Burgess throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Burgess fails with a takedown attempt. A little jabbing left from Smitty on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Burgess avoids the head kick by Smitty.

Smitty tries for a takedown but Burgess sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Smitty is breathing heavily. Smitty circles away from the clinch attempt.

A lazy body kick attempt from Burgess. Despite the aggression on Smitty's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.#TD2# Smitty closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Burgess quickly recovers to half guard. Burgess tries to get to full guard but Smitty has control of the leg. The crowd are loving this. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Burgess is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
