#R1# Holmes misses with the combination.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bradley. Bradley dives in and grabs Holmes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Holmes pushes down on Bradley's head and hops out. Holmes throws a counter combo. Nice uppercut there from Bradley.#TD2# Bradley gets caught napping as Holmes dives in and scores a takedown. Bradley manages to retain guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Holmes's corner is telling him to maintain position.#T1# It looks like Holmes might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Holmes passes Bradley's left leg - he's now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bradley trying to control from the bottom.
Holmes trying to control the pace. Holmes's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.#T2# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Holmes passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Bradley! Holmes sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Bradley has given up his back here. Will Holmes look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Holmes trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Bradley doesn't escape. Bradley is really stuck here.
#SUB2# Holmes is working for a rear naked choke. Bradley is not defending it well and Holmes has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Bradley refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Bradley's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Paul Holmes!
