#R1# Motts throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Thompson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Horrible takedown attempt by Thompson or perhaps it was just good defense by Motts, which made it look bad. #TD# Motts throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Thompson was covering up waiting for the punch and Motts finishes the takedown easily into guard. Motts working some strikes from top position.#SUB2# Motts avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Motts postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thompson looking to control.
Thompson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Motts not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Motts with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T1# Motts throws a big right hand that misses. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Thompson has hold of Motts's hands but Motts slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Thompson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Motts postures up and lands a big shot to Thompson's brow. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Motts's corner. There ya go! Motts lands a big shot there that rocks Thompson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Motts controlling the position easily from mount. Motts with the ground and pound from mount. Motts lands a big shot there that rocks Thompson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Evans turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Evans tries to clinch up. Evans connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.#TD2# Evans looking to score a takedown here. Barnes is defending well but Evans drives through and ends up in Barnes's guard. Evans trying to control but Barnes is working from the bottom. Barnes trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barnes controls Evans momentarily but Evans frees himself. That was a close round but I would say that Scot Barnes will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! #R1##TD2# Shmurda fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kennedy to the ground. Shmurda is now in Kennedy's guard. Kennedy looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Shmurda puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Kennedy is trying to maintain the position but Shmurda is very close to passing his half guard. Kennedy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Shmurda's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Shmurda's back! Kennedy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kennedy gets his hands free as Shmurda looks to control. Kennedy keeps control of the position as Shmurda tries to break free.

#R1##TD2# Little closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Talley to the mat! Talley manages to get full guard. Talley controls Little momentarily but Little frees himself. Talley working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Little. Little has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Little is in close to Talley's body, working some short punches and elbows. Little postures up in Talley's guard and throws a big left but Talley blocks it. #SUB2# Little is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Talley is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Talley has escaped and now he's on top! #REVR# Little throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
