#R1# Miyagi shoots for a takedown but Takashi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.#TD# Takashi gets a takedown into half guard. Takashi is nestled in close to Miyagi, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Takashi frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Takashi controlling the pace for now. Miyagi is trying desperately to improve position. Miyagi looks winded! Takashi scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Takashi with shots to the head and body - Miyagi looks very uncomfortable down there. Takashi controlling from mount. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Miyagi can do anything to dispel that myth. Miyagi is in a horrible position here. Takashi smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
#T1# Takashi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Takashi avoids the attempt from Miyagi to control. Takashi has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Miyagi's face.

#R1##CL2# Murdoch takes the fight into the clinch. Miyagi is trying to break free. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Murdoch lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. #BC2# Murdoch pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Miyagi is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Murdoch fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Miyagi avoids it really well and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Murdoch throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
As Murdoch looks to move away, Miyagi throws a big counter combo but Murdoch just gets out of the way. Miyagi stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Murdoch.#TD2# Murdoch shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.#ES# Miyagi manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Murdoch keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. #T1##TD2# Murdoch drags the fight down to the ground.

Very athletic spring there. Miyagi is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Murdoch shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Miyagi as he avoids it easily. Kazuhiro Miyagi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dean Murdoch. Murdoch throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Murdoch misses with a takedown and Miyagi counters with a nice uppercut. Miyagi looks for a takedown but Murdoch sprawls well. Murdoch tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Miyagi misses with the combination.

Miyagi tries to circle away but Murdoch has him pinned against the cage. I was talking to Miyagi's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Miyagi tries to circle away but Murdoch has him pinned against the cage. Murdoch tries to pull guard but Miyagi holds him up against the cage and eventually Murdoch drops back down to his feet.
Miyagi is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Murdoch jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Miyagi walks away with a smile on his face. Murdoch gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Miyagi throws a right and a left that both miss. Murdoch steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Miyagi.#CL# Miyagi has closed the distance and engaged Murdoch in a clinch.

#R1# Machida tries to clinch but Miyagi is having none of it. Sloppy strikes from Miyagi. Those never looked like landing. Machida showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Miyagi.
Machida darts in looking for a takedown but Miyagi gets double underhooks and turns Machida into the cage. Miyagi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Both fighters circling a little - Machida finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Miyagi avoids the head kick by Machida.
Machida looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Miyagi is fending him off so far but Machida persists. Nope, Miyagi circles away and we're back to standing. Machida tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Miyagi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Very smooth. Machida is looking to get back to his feet here but Miyagi is keeping cool and he's managed to take Machida's back. Machida is covering up but some of the strikes from Miyagi are getting through and doing damage.

#R1# Nice sprawl there from Miyagi as Boyd shoots in. Miyagi looks to land a combination. Boyd sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.#CUT2# It looks like Dennis Boyd has been cut. Miyagi throws a combination. Boyd tries to block but a couple of punches get through.#ROC2# Boyd is rocked! Boyd could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Boyd avoids a kick to the body.
Boyd stuffs the takedown attempt from Miyagi. Miyagi gets slowly back to his feet. #CL2# Miyagi clinches up with Boyd and pushes him back against the cage. Miyagi gets through Boyd's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Oh Boyd is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Miyagi lands a left hand that snaps the head of Boyd backwards. Miyagi will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Boyd up against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Miyagi jerks Boyd's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Boyd drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Miyagi goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Miyagi because Boyd was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

A frustrated look appears on Miyagi's face as he tries to break the clinch. Mann keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Miyagi's efforts to push away. Miyagi stalls. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miyagi wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mann has him pressed against the cage. Miyagi misses with a hook to the ribs.
