#R1# Barras throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chavez's waist but Chavez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Barras off to one side. Barras fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chavez avoids it really well and circles away. Chavez throws a sloppy head kick #TD# and Barras counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Barras is nestled in close to Chavez, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.#SUB# Barras is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Barras wants to get back to his feet.
#SUB# Barras is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Chavez is just riding it out for now. Barras eventually gives up the hold. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barras landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. #T1##SUB# Barras is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Barras prevents Chavez from improving his position. Chavez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Barras is working away from the top position though. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Barras lands a nice short elbow. Chavez on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Chavez controlling the position well. Chavez is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Barras scores with a couple of nice shots.#ROC# Chavez is rocked! Barras looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Chavez with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Chavez is still in real trouble! Can Barras finish him? Barras lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Chavez! More strikes land and this one is all over! Barras jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

#R1# Weaver slaps away a takedown attempt from Marynczak, before circling back to the center of the mat. Marynczak looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Weaver shoots in but no luck this time. Marynczak avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Weaver moves in looking to clinch but Marynczak pushes him off. Marynczak shoots and misses and Weaver counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Marynczak is lucky that one didn't land flush. Weaver throws a quick inside leg kick. Weaver lands with a kick to the temple. Marynczak shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Weaver fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Weaver tries to clinch up. A jab lands there for Marynczak. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Weaver throws a head kick but Marynczak moves out of range.
Marynczak looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.#CL2# Marynczak has managed to clinch.

Marynczak stuffs the takedown. Marynczak is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Weaver throws a front kick that sends Marynczak stumbling back into the cage. Weaver tries to close the distance and clinch up but Marynczak swats him away and circles back towards the center. Weaver shoots for a double leg takedown but Marynczak sprawls well. He's pushed Weaver's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Weaver tries to clinch but Marynczak moves away and Marynczak counters with a straight right hand. Marynczak keeps the fight on the outside. Weaver thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Marynczak if he has to take too many more of those.

Marynczak is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Marynczak won't allow Weaver to sweep him here. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Marynczak has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Marynczak misses with the ground and pound. Marynczak lands an elbow. #T4# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Weaver is trying to improve his position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Marynczak misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Marynczak's guard.#ES2# Marynczak is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.#REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
