#CUT2# It looks like Ramsey Clark has been cut. Nguyen tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Clark defends well and Nguyen ends up having to push Clark into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Clark throws a quick counter kick to the body but Nguyen avoids it. Clark throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Nguyen tests Clark's chin there with a solid looking shot. Nguyen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Clark manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Nguyen throws a low kick but Clark avoids it. Nguyen shoots in looking for a takedown. Clark tries to sprawl out of it but Nguyen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. #R1# Clark lands with a good body shot. Am takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Clark connects with a body shot that sends Am's belly button to the back. Am misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Am doesn't succeed with the takedown and Clark counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. A nice combination there by Clark.
#TD# A momentary lapse in concentration from Clark enables Am to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Clark manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Am controls from within his opponent's guard. Am has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Clark utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Clark really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Am. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Clark is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. #T1# Am throws a big right hand that misses. and Clark counters with a good low kick that Novac was not able to check. Novac wants to clinch and Clark counters with an inside leg kick. Novac with a lazy takedown attempt and Clark counters with a body kick. Novac tries to close the distance and clinch up but Clark swats him away and circles back towards the center. Steve Jr lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Steve Jr lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Clark wants to control but Trendall is keeping busy and won't allow it. Clark wants to improve his position but Trendall is controlling well.
