#R1# Diaz lands a jab to the nose. Rosales doesn't manage to clinch there - Diaz circles away.
#CL2# Rosales gets tackled into the cage by Diaz. Diaz maintains the clinch. #BC# Rosales breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Both fighters circling a little - Diaz finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Rosales throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.#TD2# Diaz closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diaz controlling the pace. Rosales is pressing down on Diaz's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Diaz with a flurry of punches that miss. Diaz is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.#SUB# Rosales is looking for a triangle here but Diaz uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Rosales is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Rosales is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Diaz has taken his back! Rosales covering up well under a barage of strikes. Diaz really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Rosales. Rosales wants to get back to his feet. #T3# Rosales rolls, trying to escape but Diaz keeps control of the position.

He has one arm under the chin but Rosales has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. #SUB2# Diaz is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Rosales defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Rosales is trying to stand back up. #T4# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Diaz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Diaz keeps trying to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Diaz tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. #SUB2# Diaz jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rosales manages to avoid the submission attempt. #T2# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rosales is trying to control Diaz's posture but Diaz avoids it. Rosales is looking to regain half guard here but Diaz keeps moving and retains side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diaz throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Rosales is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Rosales has a hand on Diaz's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Diaz takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Rosales is looking to improve his position but Diaz isn't that keen on the idea.#T3# Diaz punching from mount but Rosales doing a good job of avoiding damage. #T4# Rosales manages to regain half guard. Good work. Rosales is trying to stand up here but Diaz is controlling him well. Diaz prevents Rosales from improving his position. Diaz keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Diaz is continuing to stall. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!#SUB2# Diaz is looking for a kimura but Rosales is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Diaz to get the leverage. Rosales wants to improve his position but Diaz is controlling well.

Johnny Diaz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round! #R3# Diaz throws a sloppy head kick #TD# and Rosales counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rosales. #ES2# Diaz manages to escape and get back to his feet.

It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Diaz manages to end up in side control.#ES# Rosales bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Horrible takedown attempt by Rosales or perhaps it was just good defense by Diaz, which made it look bad. #TD2# Diaz shoots in from a long way out. It's a sloppy attempt though and Diaz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Rosales wants to sweep but no luck. Diaz throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Rosales has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Diaz has passed into side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rosales tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Diaz wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Diaz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rosales keeps working. Rosales is trying to improve his position. Rosales wants to control but Diaz postures up.#T2# Well. And that's the end of the fight! Johnny Diaz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Diaz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
