#R1##TD# Makana bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.#SUB# Makana wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Alfonsi, who protects the arm well. Makana tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. #SUB# Makana is trying to get an arm triangle but Alfonsi is defending well. Makana advances nicely into full mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alfonsi can't escape the position.
Makana lands a big shot there that rocks Alfonsi but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Alfonsi turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Makana off and cradles Alfonsi's limp body as Makana celebrates with his corner.

#CL2# Malloy closes the distance and pushes Weston back into the cage. Malloy will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Weston up against the cage. Malloy holding his opponent close, against the cage.

Ali throws a right hand that Blade ducks under and follows up with a left that Blade also avoids with ease. Ali lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Mohammed Ali seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Blade misses with a takedown attempt - Ali sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Ali misses with the combination.
Ali really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Ali throws out a leg kick but Blade moves out of range and Ali only half commits. Blade shoots in for a double leg but Ali sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Ali misses with a two punch combination.

Weston moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. #CL2# Weston gets in close and instigates a clinch. Kent is fighting it off but Weston persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kent's guard against the cage. Weston stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Blade throws a strike aimed at the side of Boyd's head but Boyd avoids it well. Blade is trying to ground and pound but Boyd uses the momentary lack of control by Blade to regain half guard. Blade trying to control from Boyd's half guard. Boyd has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Boyd might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.#SUB# Boyd has his foot on Blade's thigh. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dennis Boyd. Well Blade has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
