We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.#REVB# Santos being controlled for a moment. Santos is looking for a sweep. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rash is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Santos will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Santos is trying to control Rash's posture but Rash avoids it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Santos can do anything to dispel that myth.#T1# Santos tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Rash presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Rash tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Santos working to try and regain half guard.

#R1# No luck with that takedown attempt from Rash. Rash walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Nice jab there from Mayfield. Rash dodges the punch combination from Mayfield.
And Rash tries to counter it with a takedown but Mayfield pushes his down on his head and steps out. Mayfield swinging wildly here.
Rash changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Jackie Mayfield seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mayfield fails to land with a series of punches.

#R1# Krueger throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rash sees it coming and avoids it easily. Krueger throws a body punch but Rash moves out of range. Rash slips under a jab from Krueger. Rash feints the counter takedown. Rash on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Krueger lands with a slapping head kick. Rash misses with a takedown and Krueger counters with a left to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A chopping leg kick lands by Krueger. Nice body kick from Krueger. Freddy Krueger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#T1##KD# Krueger lands a big uppercut and Rash crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Rash looks OK. Krueger waves Rash back to his feet!#ROC# Rash is rocked! Rash leaves his chin hanging out and Krueger seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Rash crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

#R1# Holmsen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mart moves away.#TD# Mart manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Holmsen on his heels. He'll look to pass Holmsen's guard now, I'm sure. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mart accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Mart tries to free his leg and advance position but Holmsen is retaining full guard. #SU# Mart stands and steps away. Holmsen gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. A looping hook to the body misses from Holmsen. Mart does a little dance to reset his feet. A punch combination from Mart misses. Holmsen missing with a left hand there. Mart was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. #TD# Mart darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mart missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Mart thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Holmsen's head. Mart sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Holmsen defending well though. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mart with the ground and pound but Holmsen uses the opportunity to regain guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mart slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. #T1# Mart with a flurry of punches that miss. Holmsen is looking to stand up but Mart isn't so interested in that idea. Mart looking to sit in guard and control but Holmsen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVB# Holmsen would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Holmsen prevents Mart from getting back to his feet. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Holmsen wants it to stay on the feet. Holmsen drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Mart defends it well. Nice takedown defense from Holmsen. No joy for Mart on that attempt. Holmsen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mart moves away. Holmsen throws a body shot but no joy. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rash has picked Maxwell up and slammed him! Maxwell can't keep hold of the triangle and Rash manages to pass to side control! A lull in the action here. You can see the frustration on Maxwell's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Maxwell is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rash off and has taken his back! Rash covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
