OBrien takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Orr wants to get back to his feet. Fazier sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.#CUT#It looks like Derrick Fazier has been cut. Fazier lands with a hook. Donaire tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. #KD2# Fazier lands a left and a right that send Donaire crashing to the mat, dazed. Fazier thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!#ROC2#Donaire is rocked!#CUT2#It looks like Nonito Donaire has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fazier plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Donaire swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Donaire face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!

Derrick Fazier very nearly forgot to thank Shadow-Battle Clothing amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hartmann thuds his right hand into Orr's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Orr walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Orr shoots in looking for a takedown. Hartmann tries to sprawl out of it but Orr keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hartmann manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Orr slips a jab and a cross from Hartmann.
Hartmann connects with a jab. Hartmann scores with a nice strike. Hartmann is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hartmann paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Hartmann throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Orr with a lazy takedown attempt and Hartmann cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hartmann scores with the left hand. Orr knows he should have avoided that one. #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donaire tries to bum rush Tsmfimsfnd with a series of wild strikes but Tsmfimsfnd uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Donaire stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Donaire wants it to stay on the feet. Donaire is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Donaire moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
A combination from Donaire does no damage. Donaire pushes Tsmfimsfnd away with a front kick. Tsmfimsfnd avoids a punch combination nicely.

Michael Dan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Benton Riggs's cut. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Riggs was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
