Lynn working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Lynn preventing the sweep. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Washi is trying to drag Lynn to the mat but Lynn just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Washi has had enough of the clinch but Lynn keeps him there for the moment. Lynn could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Lynn tries for a takedown but Washi manages to get underhooks.
Washi gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Lynn.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Emerson Lynn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lynn wants a takedown but no success here.

Tummy Tickler cracks Workman with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Workman tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Tummy Tickler pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Workman is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Vess will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Sloan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Vess trying to keep a closed guard but Sloan is proving a slippery customer.
