Vaughn tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Vaughn misses the shot to the body. Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vaughn swats him away and circles back towards the center. #TD# Vaughn shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Silva is trying to defend but Vaughn finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nice strikes from Vaughn there. Silva is trying to stand up here but Vaughn is controlling him well. Silva has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Vaughn knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Vaughn tries to buck Kimo off but Kimo is having none of it. Kimo advances to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kimo avoids the attempt from Vaughn to control. Kimo controlling the pace for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vaughn is squirming around, avoiding Kimo's attempts to control the action. VonKeffaa has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as David is landing a low percentage of strikes. David tries to clinch up. David tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. VonKeffaa manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.#CL# David clinches up against the cage. David could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Sinimoy looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! David is trying to pull guard but Sinimoy turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.#TD# David manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. #SUB# David is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sinimoy defends well. David has control of Sinimoy's left arm, preventing Sinimoy from doing any damage. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Sinimoy working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Sinimoy throws a big right hand that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
