Nakamura defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rios.#TD2# Nakamura looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nakamura seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. #CUT2# It looks like Brendon Rios has been cut. Rios is holding on to half guard well. Nakamura has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rios is trying to control but can't.
Nakamura uses his free foot to push down on Rios's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Rios. Nakamura lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Rios! Nakamura sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Rios and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

#SUB# Salazar drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Salazar jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Dark has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Salazar has passed into side control.
Dark tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Salazar wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Dark is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Salazar asserts his dominance and retains side control. Dark can't do much from the bottom here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dark is trying to improve his position. Dark is trying to control Salazar's posture but Salazar avoids it. Dark is trying to get back to his feet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dark can do anything to dispel that myth.#T1# Dark tries to buck Salazar off but Salazar is having none of it. Banner wants to control but Salazar is keeping him busy. Salazar tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Banner wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Banner connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Salazar some visible discomfort.
Oh Salazar is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! A big shot lands for Banner! That's hurt Salazar! Will he recover? Banner fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
