The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Duffy fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Venum 's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Duffy landing punches. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Venum wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

A shot in the inside from Zweck. Stokes tries to pull guard but Zweck holds him up against the cage and eventually Stokes drops back down to his feet.
Stokes jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Zweck walks away with a smile on his face. Stokes gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Zweck falls off balance throwing a combination
#CL# and Stokes counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Zweck lands a body shot. #BC2# Zweck pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Zweck swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Stokes. Stokes doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Zweck rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stokes moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Zweck misses with the combination.
Zweck uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Stokes. This has been an exciting period of action! Zweck misses with a looping left. Stokes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Zweck misses with a double jab.

#R1# Fight shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Duffy sprawls well. Duffy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fight gets slowly back to his feet. Duffy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fight as he avoids it easily. Fight tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Fight misses with a kick to the body #TD# and Duffy counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Duffy wants to stand but Fight is controlling his posture from full guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fight holds on and takes a little breather. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fight is on top in guard.

Fight controls the pace of the fight for a moment.#T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Duffy has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Fight is really squeezing tight and eventually Duffy passes out! He's in a bit of a pickle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stokes stops Oxenford from passing to mount. Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Balloon finished him against the cage.
