We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Anderson is refusing to be controlled, as Thongtong sits in half guard. Anderson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Thongtong lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Anderson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thongtong seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Anderson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Thongtong is pressing down on Anderson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ruth throws a strike but Christensen rolls with it and manages to sweep. No luck this time Anderson. Anderson seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
