Holt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Fring wants to pass the guard but Holt is keeping the position. Fring missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Fring wants to control from the top but Holt keeps moving. Holt bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Holt stays in close to Fring's body and controls the position. Fring wants to sweep but no luck. Fring really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Holt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fring is trying to hold Holt in close to prevent damage but Holt has managed to pass into half guard.
Holt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Holt lands a nice short elbow. Holt uses his free foot to push down on Fring's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Fring. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Fring wants to hold on but Holt pushes him away.#SUB# Holt is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Fring has managed to escape the submission attempt.
