#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway!#CL2# Gummybear closes the distance and clinches. Drake taking a breather.#BC# Drake's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Drake feints and then cracks Gummybear's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gummybear down. Drake avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gummybear looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Drake appears to be looking for a big counter. Gummybear tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Drake manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Drake drives through with a takedown into guard. Drake seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Drake landing some decent shots from guard. #T1# Drake working some strikes from top position. Drake throwing strikes from guard but Gummybear blocks nicely. Gummybear really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Drake. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Drake postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Drake working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Gummybear's head. Drake keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gummybear's head. Drake slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Drake throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gummybear works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Gummybear looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Gummybear is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Drake with a flurry of punches that miss. #T2# Drake makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Drake is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Drake advances position into side control! Gummybear takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Gummybear wants to control but Drake postures up. Gummybear trying to remain calm as Drake controls from the top position.#T3# Drake lands a strong strike to the head of Gummybear. That's dazed him! Drake looking to finish here. Gummybear is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Drake lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dickweed passes into half guard. Dickweed frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Dickweed looking to control and managing it successfully. Dickweed is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Gummybear is in real trouble.
#SUB2# Dickweed is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Gummybear with him. Gummybear is trying to defend but Dickweed has an arm under the chin now! Gummybear grimaces and is forced to tap out!

Laguna tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gummybear just stands there and leans against the cage. Bart Gummybear has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bautista Laguna. Both guys are working to get underhooks. #TD2# Laguna decides to pull guard. Gummybear is looking to stand up but Laguna won't let him. Gummybear controlling from the top position. Gummybear trying to control but Laguna is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Laguna isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Gummybear stacks Laguna on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Gummybear! Johnson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Johnson tries to bum rush Bro with a series of wild strikes but Bro uses good footwork to avoid the assault.#CL# Bro gets in close and instigates a clinch. Bro tries to pull guard but Johnson holds him up against the cage and eventually Bro drops back down to his feet.

Bro fails with the takedown and Johnson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. We've been told by Bro's head coaches at Canucks Combat Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Johnson scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Bro takes one on the button. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bro with a lazy takedown attempt and Johnson counters with a stiff right hand. #ROC2#Bro is rocked! Bro tries to clinch but Johnson moves away #KD2# and Johnson counters with a crisp right hand that drops Bro! Johnson lets Bro back up to his feet, looking for a finish! Oh Bro is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Johnson batters Bro with a massive right followed by a huge left! Bro is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Johnson lands a final crushing right hand to drop Bro to the mat with a gruesome thud! Johnson is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

Gummybear goes for a takedown attempt but Dudeson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Gummybear shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dudeson sprawls well. Dudeson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gummybear gets slowly back to his feet. Gummybear slips a straight right by Dudeson. Gummybear wants to counter with a clinch but Dudeson pushes him away. Dudeson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.#CL# Dudeson forces Gummybear back against the ropes and clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Dudeson drags the fight down to the ground.

Carl Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Alves misses the shot to the body. Good shot there by Alves. Bro throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Alves throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Alves displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bro. Alves looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Alves listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Bro on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Alves throws a right and a left that both miss. Alves lands a head shot. Alves misses the shot to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! Gummybear ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Gummybear keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Wank closes the distance and clinches up with Gummybear, looking for a takedown. Wank pushes Gummybear against the ropes but Gummybear circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.#CL# Gummybear moves into range and clinches up with Wank. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gummybear is working Wank over against the ropes. Wank drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Gummybear gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Bro shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wiltord pinned against the cage. Wiltord gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Decent striking displayed by Wiltord there. Wiltord throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Wiltord takes a step backwards and waves Bro back to his feet - he wants the finish!#CUT2#It looks like Mario Bro has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bro is defended easily by Wiltord. Wiltord lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Randall is working for an americana but Gummybear has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Randall was thinking about the submission. Randall stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gummybear swivels though and keeps the full guard. Randall is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Gummybear tries to land a sweep but no joy. Randall throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Randall thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Gummybear is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. Randall is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gummybear is just riding it out for now. Randall eventually gives up the hold.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Gummybear trying to control here.

Uppercuts and crosses smash into Briggs's face. Briggs staggers backwards, shaken. Briggs shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and McKill counters with a nice body shot. This has been an exciting period of action! McKill misses with a two punch combination.

Owen Briggs showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Farrell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Briggs takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Briggs controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Farrell doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

A good leg kick by Saxton. Saxton thuds his right hand into Ramos's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Saxton checks a leg kick. Saxton connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Saxton tests Ramos's chin there with a solid looking shot.#TD# Ramos fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Saxton to the ground. Ramos is now in Saxton's guard. Saxton is looking to stand back up but Ramos counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Saxton. Saxton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ramos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#REVB# This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Saxton taking some punishment here, with Ramos in his half guard. #SUB# Ramos is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Saxton is just riding it out for now. Ramos eventually gives up the hold. #SUB2# Saxton looking for a kimura from the bottom but Ramos passes into side control!#T1# Ramos in side control, just content to control the action for now. Ramos's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Saxton has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Ramos is really squeezing tight and eventually Saxton passes out!
