#TD# and Hines counters with a nice double leg into side control. Barnes won't be happy with that. Hines prevents Barnes from escaping the position. Hines creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Barnes sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Hines works to advance to full mount. Barnes defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB# Hines is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Barnes has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Barnes! Hines working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Barnes. Barnes trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hines's guard. Hines wants to sweep here but Barnes controlling him for the moment. #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bari jabs at Hines's body. Bari lands a nice looking body kick. Bari has been working on his boxing with his coaches at High Kicks in the buildup to the fight. Hines dives in for a single leg takedown but Bari sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Bari tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hines was well out of range. Poor timing from Bari. Bari lands a right hook to the body.
Bari throws out a powerful jab. Hines walks straight into a right hand from Bari - that's dropped him! Bari jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Hines from any more punishment! Hines complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

#CUT#It looks like Chris Morton has been cut. Cin Drallig seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Drallig's corner calls for a 1-2. Drallig obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Drallig feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mortons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Drallig wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Morton throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Drallig's waist but Drallig gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Morton off to one side. Drallig lands with a cross. Drallig looks to throw the jab but Morton is out of range. Drallig throws a looping overhand right but Morton ducks down to avoid it. Morton has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Morton there as he acknowledges the shot.#CUT#That has opened up Chris Morton's cut even more. Drallig closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Morton! Drallig dives in looking to finish! Morton is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Patill postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Patill is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Palmer tries for a takedown but Yonic circles away easily and Yonic counters with a left to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Palmer gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Palmer takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Manager Yonic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now.
