Kataski stopping the sweep attempt from Cooper. Kataski landing with the ground and pound. Cooper looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Cooper has momentary wrist control but Kataski slips an elbow through the middle. Cooper keeping full guard, as Kataski tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kataski throwing strikes from guard but Cooper blocks nicely. Kataski has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kataski preventing the sweep. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
