Steele engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Othrguy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Steele works over Othrguy with some ground and pound from guard. Steele really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Othrguy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Othrguy is trying to control the position from the bottom.
#T1# Steele looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Steele lands a couple of digs. Othrguy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Steele is one step ahead there. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Othrguy wants to pass the guard but Steele is keeping the position.#REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Othrguy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Steele feints the counter takedown. Othrguy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. You can see the frustration on Othrguy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Steele lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Othrguy down.

#T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.#ES# Othrguy pushes Steele off and gets back to his feet. No joy there for Othrguy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's better than Othrguy was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!#ES2# Steele bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Urwifs Othrguy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Both fighters are breathing heavily.#TD2# Steele feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Steele is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.#T3# Steele looking to pass the guard. Othrguy working a defensive guard here.

#T4# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Steele pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Othrguy is keeping the position for now. Othrguy is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Steele stands up over Othrguy, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Othrguy being controlled here, momentarily. Othrguy not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Inouie throws a hook but Lowe avoids it easily. Inouie swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Inouie lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Lowe wants to clinch and Lowe takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. #CL2# Lowe closes the distance and clinches. Lowe throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Inouie tries to circle away but Lowe has him pinned against the cage. Inouie wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Inouie is trying to break free. Lowe stalls. Inouie is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Lowe digs a right hand underneath Inouie's ribcage. Inouie let out a lung full of air as it connected. Inouie looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. A punch combination from Inouie misses. Inouie rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lowe moves out of range and avoids them all easily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Inouie misses with an uppercut. Lowe ducks under a wild hook from Inouie. Jab, jab by Inouie - just one landing. Inouie pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Lowe is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Inouie misses with an uppercut. Lowe let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Lowe moves away from the strike by Inouie. Lowe steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Inouie. Lowe scores with a big left there. #R1# Wright tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Diarmada paws at him with a jab and circles away. Wright dives in and grabs Diarmada's left leg, looking for a takedown. Diarmada pushes down on Wright's head and hops out. Diarmada leaves Wright with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Diarmada is looking for the big counter here. Ethan Wright seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Diarmada looks to land a combination. Wright sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Nice takedown defense from Diarmada. No joy for Wright on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ethan Wright. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wright closes the distance and clinches up with Diarmada, looking for a takedown. Wright pushes Diarmada against the cage but Diarmada circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wright is defended easily by Diarmada. Diarmada steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Wright. Wright shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Diarmada as he avoids it easily. Diarmada tries to clinch there but Wright circles away.

He's obviously looking to slow Bass down. #TD2# Bass tries to sprawl but Lowe drives through with a takedown into half guard. Lowe with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. #SUB2# Lowe looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. #R2# Bass tries for a takedown but Lowe circles away easily#CL2# and Lowe holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Bass has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lowe after a bit of a struggle. Bass really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Lowe gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bass.

Lowe moves to clinch but Daniels breaks away and Daniels counters with a lovely straight right hand! Lowe throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Daniels connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Lowe cracks the inside of Daniels's front leg. Daniels slaps away a takedown attempt from Lowe, before circling back to the center of the mat. Daniels comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Daniels cracks Lowe with a hook to the jaw.
