Silva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Milicic as he avoids it easily. Silva scores with a head kick. Milicic tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.#CUT2# It looks like Darko Milicic has been cut. Silva is looking to clinch but Milicic is avoiding it.
We've been told by Milicic's head coaches at 3Band MMA ($800/week) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Milicic scores with a jab to the body. Silva moves out of range of the strikes. Milicic tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Silva wants to counter with a clinch but Milicic pushes him away. Milicic throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease. Milicic fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Tyson connects with a body shot that sends Jimene's belly button to the back. Tyson lands a jab to Jimene's midsection. Tyson looks for the body kick but Jimene saw that one coming. Jimene changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Tyson doesn't manage to clinch there - Jimene circles away.

He lands a short punch in the meantime. Douglas has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kirov is working away from the top position though. Douglas is controlling Kirov's position as best he can from this difficult position. Douglas tries to kick Kirov off but Kirov keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Douglas is looking to control Kirov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Douglas avoid being mounted? We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.#SU2# Nurmagomedov stands up from guard. Let's bang! Sweetchuck slaps away a takedown attempt from Silva, before circling back to the center of the mat. A little jabbing left from Sweetchuck on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Silva dodges the punch combination from Sweetchuck.

Walsh keeping moving, preventing Douglas from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Douglas working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Walsh's head. Douglas tries to free his leg and advance position but Walsh is retaining full guard. Douglas wants to control from the top but Walsh keeps moving. Douglas has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.#T1# Walsh is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Douglas is controlling him.
