That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!#SU# Pio decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. #TD# Pio wants the takedown. Asser is fighting it off but Pio persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Asser's guard against the cage. Pio controls from within his opponent's guard. #SUB# Pio drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pio jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Pio is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Asser wants to get back to his feet but Pio is in a dominant position and won't allow it. He's shot a load of snot all down Asser's shoulder. That is not cool. Pio is looking to take a break and control but Asser is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Asser felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Mac Daddy lands a nice forearm strike. Riner struggling a bit here. Mac Daddy is chipping away with strikes.
Mac Daddy grinds an elbow into Riner 's temple. Mac Daddy scores with punches from side control. Mac Daddy cracks Riner with a big elbow. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mac Daddy scoring with punches and elbows. Mac Daddy lands a big elbow and you can see that really hurt Riner ! Mac Daddy senses the opportunity and scores with more strikes - he's put Riner out! The ref tackles him out of the way to prevent him landing more strikes - this one is all over!

Jang shoots for a double leg takedown but Asser sprawls well. He's pushed Jang's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Black is trying to control the action in half guard but Johnson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Johnson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. #CUT2# It looks like Jack Johnson has been cut. Black takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Black throwing shots but Johnson is blocking nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson wants to get back to his feet.

#R1# Asser looks to score with a jab to the body but Kassongo is just out of range. Kassongo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Asser's waist but Asser gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kassongo off to one side. #TD2# Kassongo shoots in and gets a takedown into Asser's guard. Kassongo in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Kassongo working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. #ES# Asser pushes Kassongo off and gets back to his feet.

#TD2# Johnson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Barrett tries to get back to half guard but can't.#SU2# Johnson decides to stand back up. Johnson steps back and let's Barrett get back to his feet.#TD2# Johnson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Barrett to the ground. Johnson is now in Barrett's guard. Barrett tries to land a sweep but no joy. Barrett keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully. Barrett is trying to control the position but Johnson postures up. Johnson postures up in Barrett's guard and throws a big left but Barrett blocks it. Johnson scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Johnson won't allow Barrett to sweep him here. #SU2# Johnson stands and steps away.
