#R1# Good exchange - Rossi coming out on top. Danny shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rossi defends it nicely. Rossi cracks Danny with an open hand slap. Rossi lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Danny takes one to the chin there. Danny tries to clinch up. Danny fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rossi avoids it really well and circles away. Rossi has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rossi bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Danny's head. Rossi fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Danny on the side of the head. Rossi is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Danny fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Marchrius Rossi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Danny gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Rossi points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Danny wakes up just in time to hear Rossi thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

James Jr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hopkins looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Hopkins throws a lazy right hand but James Jr sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Hopkins takes a body punch but keeps moving. James Jr connects with a body shot. James Jr keeps Hopkins at a distance using the push kick. Hopkins definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. James Jr tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. James Jr tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hopkins manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. James Jr shoots for a takedown but Hopkins saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Hopkins slaps away a takedown attempt from James Jr, before circling back to the center of the mat. James Jr lunges at Hopkins with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hopkins's hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sullivan shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Blacariwichz eats them both and turns towards Sullivan to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Sullivan has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Blood & Sand in the buildup to the fight. Boi throws an elbow but Martinus slips to the side and avoids it well. Martinus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Martinus is being controlled here. #SUB# Boi is trying to get an arm triangle but Martinus is defending well. Boi is chipping away with strikes.
#SU# Boi has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boi lands a nice looking body kick. Pacheco is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Pacheco bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Martinus shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Goblin but Goblin pushes him off and we're back to square one. Martinus looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Goblin tried to counter with a leg kick but Martinus avoided it. Flying Goblin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Botros Martinus.
