Turie looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. We've been hearing good reports from Turie's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Turie utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Turie controlling the position. Stapleton pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Turie is keeping the position for now. Turie pulls Stapleton in close to prevent any damage. Turie has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Stapleton postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. McGruger fails in his attempt to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sitsongrit fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McGruger looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Sitsongrit jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

#R1# Lang throws a low kick but DePuss moves out of range easily. Lang feints a jab promting DePuss to slip. Lang then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. DePuss slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. DePuss takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Lang throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lang fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. DePuss looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Lang misses with the combination.
DePuss wants to counter with a clinch but Lang pushes him away. Lang misses with a low kick. DePuss dodges the punch combination from Lang.
A combination from Lang does no damage. Lang throws a right hand that DePuss ducks under and follows up with a left that DePuss also avoids with ease. Lang pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Lang throws a right and a left that DePuss avoids nicely. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lang connects with a body shot.#T1# Lang misses with a wild combination.
DePuss wants to counter the offense by Lang and move into the clinch position. Lang throws a nice looking combination but DePuss bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A nice combination there by Lang.

Turie has his hands on Dacik's head, controlling the position. Turie manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dacik manages to get himself to full guard.

Tycoon is fighting to break McGruger's control of his arms but McGruger is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. McGruger looking to control.

Guthrie wants to control from the top but Turie keeps moving. Turie has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Turie is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVB##T2# Turie is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Turie is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Turie looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Turie frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Turie blocks Guthrie's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Turie lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Turie with good strikes from the mount here! Turie takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Turie's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Turie postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Guthrie looks a forlorn figure.
