Bektic wants to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bektic flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Jerome distracts Bektic with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Jerome works over Bektic with some ground and pound from guard. Jerome has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jerome passes Bektic's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Jerome perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Jerome seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bektic for as long as he can get away with. Bektic has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jerome is working away from the top position though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jerome misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Jerome lets go of the hold and Bektic can pop his arm back in it's socket.

He's got his arms around Flynn's waist but Flynn gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jahic off to one side. #KD2# Flynn drops Jahic with a beautiful combination! Jahic stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Flynn is looking for the KO!#ROC2# Jahic is rocked!#CUT2# It looks like Denis Jahic has been cut. Flynn steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Jahic is out on his feet! Flynn sets himself and nearly takes Jahic's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!

Jab from Denovan.#CL# Denovan clinches. Denovan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Dervisevic's efforts to push away. A frustrated look appears on Dervisevic's face as he tries to break the clinch. We've been hearing reports that Denovan has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Dervisevic drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Denovan gets the underhooks and prevents it.
#BC# Denovan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dervisevic fails to land the takedown. Denovan throws a big counter combination but Dervisevic scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Dervisevic has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.#KD# Denovan lands a big head kick that sends Dervisevic tumbling to the mat! Denovan takes a step backwards and waves Dervisevic back to his feet - he wants the finish!#CUT# It looks like Mehmed Dervisevic has been cut.#T1# Dervisevic moves forwards but Denovan connects with a nice, crisp jab.#CL# Denovan instigates a clinch. Canibal tries for a takedown but Rakovic circles away easily#TD2# and Rakovic counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Canibal! You can see the frustration on Canibal's face as Rakovic controls the position. Canibal is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Rakovic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Canibal keeps working. Rakovic in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Canibal is looking for a sweep.#SUB2# Rakovic is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Canibal is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Canibal is not in a great position here, taking some shots. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Dervisevic is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Dervisevic throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Dervisevic misses with a few strikes there.
Emin Dervisevic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A looping hook to the body misses from Putins. Dervisevic does a little dance to reset his feet. Dervisevic slaps away a takedown attempt from Putins, before circling back to the center of the mat. Putins keeps the fight on the outside. Dervisevic tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Putins manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
