Let's bang! We've been told by Tsering's head coaches at Cozad Amsterdam that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.#TD2# Strauss shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tsering's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tsering can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Strauss controls the pace.#SU2# Strauss gets to his feet - Tsering follows without any prompting. #TD2# Strauss scores a trip takedown into side control. Strauss pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.

Tsering manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.#SU2# Strauss decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tsering, up you get! Elfman Strauss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Strauss lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.#CL2# Strauss gets in close and instigates a clinch. #T4# Strauss lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Tsering or not. #BC2# Strauss breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Tsering jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Strauss really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tsering. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tsering passes Strauss's right leg, so he's now in half guard. #SUB# Tsering is trying to work for a kimura but Strauss is defending well.

Tsering is fighting the takedown attempt but Strauss gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.#SUB# Tsering pushes a forearm under Strauss's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Strauss is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

#R1# Barry tries to clinch but Strauss is having none of it. #CL# Barry closes the distance and clinches. Barry really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Strauss taking a breather. Strauss leaning against his opponent.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#CL2# Strauss forces Barry back against the cage and clinches. Strauss drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Barry gets the underhooks and prevents it.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Strauss holds on and takes a little breather. Barry won't allow Strauss to get back to his feet. #SUB2# Strauss escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Barry gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Strauss is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVB##T2# Barry keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Barry moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Strauss advances position into side control! Barry stops Strauss from passing to mount. Elfman Strauss showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! The strikes coming from Barry are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Barry throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Elfman Strauss. Well Strauss has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
