Diaz is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of U Don, into his guard. #REVB##SUB# U Don throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Diaz escapes and throws U Don's legs to the side, diving into side control! Sosznski is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Sosznski letting U Don take a breather here. U Don is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Sosznski is defending well for now. U Don tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Sosznski blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
U Don's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Horrible takedown attempt by Gay or perhaps it was just good defense by Rodd, which made it look bad. Rodd slaps away a takedown attempt from Gay, before circling back to the center of the mat. Gay tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rodd defends well and Gay ends up having to push Rodd into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyroon Gay. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rodd, as that shot connected.
