#R1# A telegraphed right hand from Manu misses the target. Moteki takes one to the chin there. Moteki will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Manu connects with a good right hand that stumbles Moteki. Moteki circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Moteki tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. and Manu counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Moteki! He's just covering up as Manu starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nicky Manu! A very excited looking Nicky Manu rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed. |

Ozaki blocks a leg kick. Jones checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Ozaki misses with a head kick.
Ozaki lands a nice looking body kick.#CL# Ozaki tries to keep at a distance but Jones has taken the fight into the clinch.#TD# Jones is trying to trip Ozaki. He has hold of a leg but Ozaki is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jones persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Jones scoring with some ground and pound. Ozaki looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jones is one step ahead there. Jones wants to control from the top but Ozaki keeps moving. Ozaki has Jones pulled in close to control his posture. #T1# Jones stands up over Ozaki, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Ozaki lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVB# Jones looking for a sweep. Not yet Jones, not yet. #SUB2# Ozaki postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jones is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Ozaki managing to control the position. He's pushing on Jones's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ozaki is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jones winds up and cracks Ozaki with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jones connects with a nice short shot to Ozaki's temple. Jones is trying to control the action in half guard but Ozaki is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Jones slips a nice elbow through Ozaki's hands, connecting with Ozaki's forehead. Ozaki tries to get to full guard but Jones has control of the leg. Ozaki keeping hold of Jones's head, controlling as best he can. Drake Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones lands with a punch from half guard. #T1# Ozaki is staying active underneath Jones, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Nice work! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ozaki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ozaki manages to get himself to full guard.
